Individual Tennis Lessons for Children

Every lesson is tailored entirely to your child. The coach works at the child’s pace, builds proper technique from the very beginning, and keeps motivation high through a positive and encouraging approach. Whether your child is discovering tennis for the first time or already has some experience, the program is fully adapted to their needs and goals. Individual coaching allows for faster progress, greater personal attention, and a stronger connection between coach and young athlete — the foundation of every future champion.

Group Tennis Lessons for Children

Tennis is more fun together. Group lessons create a dynamic and inspiring environment where young players learn, grow, and enjoy the game at the same time. Under the guidance of their coach, children develop proper technique, coordination, and physical fitness in a friendly atmosphere that encourages healthy competition and teamwork. Groups are limited to four children and are carefully organized by age and skill level. This ensures that every child receives meaningful individual attention while still benefiting from the energy and excitement of group training. Beyond on-court skills, group lessons help build confidence, discipline, and lasting friendships.

FAQ About Children’s Tennis Lessons

What is the minimum age for children to start tennis lessons?

We welcome children from the age of 4. Young players begin in the Red Level, a program specifically designed for their age group using softer balls and a game-based learning approach. At this stage, the focus is not on perfect technique but on developing coordination, concentration, and a love for the game.

What is the difference between individual and group lessons?

Individual lessons are fully dedicated to one child. The coach works at the child’s pace, focuses on specific skills, and accelerates development through personalized instruction. Group lessons are held in groups of up to four children and combine technical development with social interaction, teamwork, and friendly competition. Both formats can be combined depending on the child’s goals and development needs.

How many children are in a group?

A maximum of four children. This small group size allows the coach to provide meaningful attention to every participant while maintaining the energy and engagement that make group training enjoyable and effective. Children are grouped according to age and skill level.

How long is a children’s lesson?

Each lesson lasts 55 minutes. This duration is ideal for maintaining concentration and enthusiasm while providing enough time for meaningful learning and development.

What is the ITF methodology for children’s tennis?

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) developed the globally recognized Tennis 10s program. The program is divided into four development stages — Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow — each using age-appropriate court sizes, rackets, and balls. The same methodology is used by the Deutscher Tennis Bund (DTB) and leading tennis academies around the world.

How often should my child train?

For consistent progress, we recommend two to three sessions per week. One session per week is enough to maintain interest and basic skills, but regular practice is essential for developing technique, confidence, and match-play experience. For more advanced young players, training frequency can be increased according to individual goals.
